O homem esfregou as mãos,
a mulher tinha preparado uma iguaria,
huumm, lampreia - uma espécie de enguia.
O homem comeu, sorriu e depois chupou os dedos.
Agora a mulher espreita pela toca do rato
e faz frifrifri - um riso maquiavélico que aprendeu na escola,
é que sem saber o homem tinha acabado de comer a cobra.

  1. Helga: I heard a story in Bissau many years ago about a cobra that ate a cow. As he lay, immobilized and defenseless, digesting what he had just eaten, a colony of ants attacked the cobra and ate it up. Your line about the man licking his fingers made me think about that story after all these years! Thanks!
